12 Months!

Of course he was 12 months a couple of days ago but I wanted to be able to put his stats up. We went for his one year check-up and poor baby had to get FOUR shots. Ouchie! Walker didn't even shed actual tears. Just blew raspberries in the nurses face!

Walker is now feeding himself waffles, cheerios, crackers, sausage...anything he can put in his hand. He loves drinking from my cup. He's trying so desperately to crawl. He takes an 8oz bottle of whole milk before bed every night. He still has a pacifier and we don't give that up until later. He has no teeth.

Dr. Anderson was very impressed with where Walker is right now. He walked in and said that he was a totally different baby with his glasses and was really engaging with him. Those glasses have really changed the way Walker is interacting with people. It's amazing! Before leaving he said that the glasses and belly scar will be the only evidence that Walker was a 25 week preemie. Of course things can pop up later, but dammit, he's a MIRACLE!

Walker is weighing 19 pounds 11 ounces (8.69%) and is 28 inches long (4.82%). Check out his growth charts!

They say at 6 six months your baby should double their weight and at a year they should triple it. Well sweet Walker, you have exceeded that expectation! Love you baby!
