I'm weak, I couldn't help it!

The anticipation got the better of me today. I couldn't help myself and went out and bought 6 pregnancy tests. Three are the Target brand EPT's and the other three are the Target brand First Response tests.

The first test I tried out today, not my first morning urine, the vertical line popped up almost immediately. I was smiling really big watching from the toilet! The line is faint, I know, but being a POAS-aholic (POAS= Pee, On, A, Stick), I really think it's positive! These are not evaporation lines either. That middle line appeared before my very eyes in the bathroom.

The second test, I just took, is the Target brand First Response. This line is very faint. I'm not even sure if you will be able to see it on the computer screen.

The positive side of things is that I'm not even supposed to be testing until the 2nd. So I have two more days for, hopefully, my HcG levels to go up and I will show a clear positive on the tests.

With the first ovulation sticks I bought, Clear Blue, they gave me one free Clear Blue Digital Pregnancy test. In my head I've already said that that test is for either the 2nd or the 4th of June.

I'm so excited! Praying, praying, praying for a sticky baby!

We test in a couple of days and realized that I haven't updated.

Last week I thought for sure this was it. I really thought I was pregnant. I had the symptoms but that could've been something else.

This week, they've slowly gone away. I still can't stand when R comes to bed just after he's eaten Frito's and wants to have a face-to-face conversations. And who does that, by the way? I also experience frequent trips to the bathroom, but I like to stay well hydrated and R says I do that a lot anyways. I get tired at the same time everyday, 2 p.m. Since being in school, I stopped napping and when I did I would feel sick when I woke up. Now I have to have a nap to get on with the rest of my day. By 11 p.m. at night I can barely keep my eyes open. Seriously, my contacts start drying out and literally popping out of my eyes!

My menstrual cycle started on May 1st, and I believe my cycles are 30 days a part. So today, the 29th, makes for 29 days. I'm trying real hard not to think about it and take tests. I've designated June 2nd as: THE DAY!

So only 4 more days...

A little bit of this, a little bit of that...

For better viewing, click on the picture.
Well, looky there! The stick between 1:30 and 9:30 is 6:30. Still darker than ever! As you can tell the next stick is not as dark and was the next morning.
I would just like to add that I started using these tests on May 9th, May 8th was the last Clomid pill, and they have all been light like the last two. R even commented on how cool it is to track!

I'm counting CD 19 as the day I ovulated. Which makes today, 3 DPO (DPO stands for days past ovulation). Now before everyone starts getting really excited...The sticks can be misleading. They can show that your body has made the hormone LH, but has not released an egg. It's all very tricky.

I am having some side effects that can contributed to signs of implantation but we will have to wait and see how it all plays out in a couple of weeks. According to Baby Center, if we conceived this cycle our baby's expected due date would be in early February.

I can't wait to share this blog with everyone!

R has been hard at work finishing my bathroom. It's taken him a little longer because of busy weekends and then me being needy and wanting him around a lot. :)

The bathroom should be finished next weekend for sure.

The light fixture.

The vanity. This is a bad picture. It's really nice.

Am I?

I have to stress that for confusion.

The way to tell if you are ovulating is to compare the FIRST line to SECOND. If the line is DARKER or the SAME color, then you should be ovulating in the next 24-48 hours.

Okay, the top ovulation test was taken at 9 am, CD 19. What you really can't tell from this picture is a thin dark line that starts to streak. The bottom test is clearly the same color, right? I don't think my eyes are playing tricks on and me. And, both of these tests are darker than any of the tests I've been taking since CD9.

So, baby love making is on the agenda tonight! I will be leaving momentarily to go out and buy more tests since I used my last one. R hates spending money on these "things". He's so: "if it happens, it happens". I think our hopes have been high so many times before, that it's easier on us if we don't let them get high.

Graduation Day!

Today I walked across the stage and received my diploma from the University of Houston Clear Lake. I received my Bachelors of Science in Interdisciplinary Studies. Such a proud day! It's bittersweet. I've been with these girls for two years and now we've accomplished what we wanted and are now going on with our lives. I hate goodbyes...hate, hate, hate them!

Moreno girls.

Showing off my new Michael Kors watch and Coach swingback. R also got me Kate Spade sunglasses!

This is CD 15. (CD stands for cycle day). I've been testing to see if I'm ovulating but to no avail. I'm getting discouraged. This afternoon, I was having some really bad back pains and came home after graduation to test again. Nothing. I'm beginning to become doubtful that the clomid is working.

I would like to say that I can feel changes with body. I've lost 5 pounds and just feel different.

I will keep testing and keep praying.

Clomid Day 2

Oh boy oh boy! My hormones are raging! I was reading a book with my students today and started crying! One little girl caught me and asked if I was okay. Embarrassing! It really is a sad book.

My side effects are the same from the Provera. Drowsiness, stomaches, being bloated and really thirsty. At this moment while I'm laying in bed typing this, I can barely keep my eyes opened and I'm really hot. R touched me earlier and was like "you're hot. Are you feeling okay?" on top of having this cold that is finally breaking up the congestion, I'm feeling pretty good!

Here we go! Clomid day 1!

Drum roll.......

There it is! Clomid, 50 mg, Day 1

It's a medium size pill. Like the size of aspirin or Bayer.

Please, God, work!

Some of you may wonder what Clomid is, follow this link here. The website has great information.

"Childhood is what you spend the rest of your life trying to overcome. That's what momma always says. She says that beginnings are scary, endings are usually sad, but it's the middle that counts the most. Try to remember that when you find yourself at a new beginning. Just give hope a chance to float up. And it will..."

Change of pace, but still good news!

Last night I started to feel bad. My throat felt tight and my body would switch from freezing to burning up. There was no happy medium and I got 4 hours of sleep. That does not make for a happy girl. I drove all the way to Alvin and stayed for a little while just to get back in my car and drive all the way home for a doctors appointment. I was falling asleep while I was driving. Not good. I have a viral infection, a common cold. My throat is killing me and I sound horrible. My throat is so tight when I was eating breakfast in the car I was choking on my food. Yuck.

Like I previously posted in the other days post, I called my doctor to confirm the instructions and to double check what I thought I remembered. Instead of starting clomid on day 5 of my menstrual cycle, I'm starting on day 4! Which means on Wednesday, in two days, we will begin our first cycle!
