Seeing Great Grandpa Mo

Today we took the kids to go see Great Grandpa Mo. He's been in a rehab center close by but is moving all the way across town to the big city. The kids of course had a great time ransacking his room and really tearing the place up.
"Let's go!"

"C'mon guys, keep up!"

"Uh oh"

"I broke that!"

Time to give Adam his daily whoopin!

The kids with Grandpa Mo in the background. I promise they were happy.

That's a little better. Nothing like a threat to put a smile on the face!

See the kid rolling in the background? He's sick of pictures.

Happy, happy, happy!

"Get over here, Walker"

Dog pile!

Look at that face!

Yeah....Look at Izzy's face!

Looks like Adam is getting Walker back.

Let's go eat!

Cousins love.
It's pretty sad watching a person age. What's even sadder is the stress it has put on family relationships. Our immediate family will never be the same again. One person thinks they are right; the other thinks they know what's best; nobody wants to face the truth of what is happening here; one person is calling random people and involving them into personal situations.  Every one should have some plans in place for when they get too old to care for themselves. My brother has taken charge and said that he'll handle my parent's when they get to that age. He's driving them to Tijuana and dropping them off. How lucky are they?! Ha!

In all seriousness, I'm so happy that my sister and I have the type of relationship that we do. We are able to straight up tell each other what the truth is and not in a condescending way. We aren't afraid of each other and it's very rare that we get on each other's nerves.  We are very active in each other's lives and our children's. We take the roles as being an Aunt to our children very seriously. We both know that being an aunt is way more than just the title. It's about actions and being involved.
