I am so proud of our MOD team, Walker's Stalkers. We raised an insane amount of money for our first year. $3,330 to be exact! We were super excited for the walk and to see all of our friends and family out supporting babies and mothers. Unfortunately the Saturday before the walk, Houston had a huge downpour. Streets were flooded and the rain was not stopping. It rained all Saturday night and a small shower Sunday morning. I was flowing the MOD-Houston Facebook page and at 1am they called the walk off.
We were so upset. I had little girls and little boys crying their eyes out early in the morning. They were so excited to walk with their friends. Walker's Stalkers was selected to have a sign sponsored by a Houston company along the walk. I was most sad that we wouldn't get a picture of it. A representative later on sent me a picture of Walker's sign. We love it.
I had my very talented friend, JMack from Two Little Birds designs, design our team shirts. She is super talented and does so many things. Check out her store. Two Little Birds
I had Walker model the shirt but he is all over the place these days and it was hard. This was the best I could do.
That day we were pretty upset about not walking. We were hoping to see nurses, doctors, volunteers from Texas Children's at the walk. We called our family and decided to get dressed in our team shirts and go out for lunch.
We want to thank each and every one of you who donated to our team and sent the link to your friends to give. Thank you for helping preemies like Walker!
