Days 90-94

Day 90: Thursday, January 26, 2012- Dr. Premkamur is covering for Dr. Rhee while he is on vacation. Who the hell takes vacation when they are on staff? Take it when you do research. Whatever. Besides our three year wedding anniversary, another reason why I'm so happy January is almost over, these doctors rotating out! I don't know their names and they need to work on professionalism. The end about them.

Walker was such a ham today. When he heard Dr. P's voice, he would smile. Dr. P's smile said it all; he loves Walker too! He is covering for one more day and if anything goes wrong, please let it be when he is on. Such a fabulous neonatologist!

Nurse Courtney is back today and we are excited that she will be on most of the month of February! Nurse Esther comes tonight and then is off for a whole MONTH! What will I do? I'm freaking out! Then when she comes back, Nurse Courtney leaves for a couple of days.

So it wasn't Nurse Esther last night, it was Nurse Dawn! We love her too! She is always SO upbeat and happy! She's gentle with Walker and we love that.

Walker weighed in at 2,150 grams. That's 4 pounds 12 ounces!
"I can see you Mommy"

"Don't move, I'm sleeping"

Eat Em' Up Kats!
Walker got a mobile! He likes staring at himself in the mirror. He starts smiling!

Can't sleep without Lambie.

Day 91: Friday, January 27, 2012- Happy 13 week birthday, Walker! 38 weeks GA.

"Don't take my Daddy or blankie away. I'm holding on for dear life!"

Since Walker is 2 kilos he got his three immunizations today. Poor baby. He just wanted to be held and snuggled close. He was crying when Nurse Courtney was changing his diaper.

Walker's next surgery is scheduled for February 15th. I'm getting nervous. I know what to expect and know what he'll look like. I grabbed R's hands and said, "This begins the next step to bringing our baby home". It's exciting, nerve racking and really making us get our butts in gear. Don't get too excited. He'll need a good while to recover and also to feed. Once we get there, though, we are over the hump and will hopefully be on our path to coming home.

Relaxing with Daddy

Daddy bought me this newborn outfit and thought it wouldn't be very much longer until I could fit into it. Then he laid it on me and you can't even see my legs.

After shots. "Please Nurse Courtney, don't hurt me anymore". Just kidding!

Mommy had to get a TCH shirt because she dropped eyeliner and smudged it on her white shirt. Hers is so smarties!

"Please Daddy, I don't want pictures right now"- He's crying here.

"Daddy is being so mean with the flash on"

Walker is weighing in at 2,160 grams. That is 4 pounds 12 ounces!

Day 92: Saturday, January 28, 2012- Happy 3 month birthday, Walker! You are getting so big, so fast! You are a very strong little boy and you have so many people who love and care about you. I can't wait until you are home and everyone can love on you. I'll share, a little. You've overcome so much in just 3 short months.

Clearly Walker wasn't into to taking his 3 month photos.

Walker is weighing in at 2,190 grams. 4 pounds 13 ounces.

Day 93: Sunday, January 29, 2012- Walker got some lovey dovey, snuggly time with Daddy. Since R works during the week and I get to be with Walker the majority of the week, I let R take the reigns on the weekend. It's hard. Momma likes her snuggly time.

Walker is weighing in at 2,160 grams. We're going up and down!

Day 94: Monday, January 30, 2012- Today they tried taking the nasal cannula off again. It was a trial. Walker wasn't too happy about it so he's back on 25 cc. That's a very low rate. We're happy he's back on. We want him as comfortable as he can be until his surgery in two weeks. Whatever he wants, Walker gets!

"Do I have something on my bum?"

Beary cute bootie, Walkie!

Turkey call, GOBBLE GOBBLE!

Walker is weighing in at 2,195 grams. 4 pounds 13 ounces.
