8 Months Old!

Slow down time. Give us longer days, Lord.

Walker is wearing 6 month clothes and 9 month sleepers. His 6 month sleepers fit him but they are tight. Daddy doesn't appreciate Walker being in tight clothes when he's sleeping.

We love you so much Little Bird. You are more than everything we've always wanted.

Yep, this is happening right now

My sweet, sweet baby had a rough day. ROUGH! I think the teething stage is upon us at the moment. He's been chomping on his fingers, not interested in eating just chomping on the bottle and sleeping horribly. He decided at 3:30 this morning that it was time to get up and jump. He happily played in his jumper for 3 hours before deciding to take a nap for an hour and a half. That was his only nap today.

Today he was so aggravated that he ripped his fingers out of his mouth really fast and cut his gum up. His nails are clipped short so I have no idea how he did it. Screams, blood, tears, red face crying came after that. Nothing helped until Daddy came to the rescue with Orajel. Bless you makers of Orajel. You are heaven sent!

So now my sweet newborn baby is swaddled tightly, sleeping in his Pack n' Play napper in between Mommy and Daddy. Oh, did I mention that he's currently my leach at the moment? Can't stray too far. R mentioned earlier how he misses him sleeping in our room. This is when the whole, "he's only been home for 2 and half months but feels like forever" thing comes up.

Praying for Fischer

A friend from the Bump had a little boy named Fischer at the end of January. We all met when we joined the site on our month board. It's a forum where people who are due in the same month talk and discuss their pregnancies.

As I've stated before, these ladies have been a major part of Walker's prayer army. Fischer's mom Brittany, found out later in her pregnancy that Fischer would need heart surgery in his first year of life. Well, Fischer had that surgery a couple of days ago at almost 5 months old. We all remember what Walker went through and how "sick" he was after every surgery. It's so hard on their little bodies.

Fischer needs our prayers. Another Bumpie made this Shutterfly photo book for Fischer with pictures of all of our little ones. Here's Walker's picture:

Wordless Wednesday but with words

So, I've been really sick with a summer cold. Since it was all respiratory and fever, I stayed locked up and laid up in the bed the whole weekend. R really stepped up and took amazing care of Walker, ALONE! I would sneak in and caught a lot of this going on...

Aren't they just adorable? Walker refused to nap or sleep in his bed when his Daddy was around. He really knows who the sucker is. And yes, I know, they are the spitting image of each other.

Along with not celebrating Father's Day, I wasn't able to put R's present together until today. I haven't left the house in about 8 days! So here is the final product:

I can't wait for him to come home and see it! He's going to LOVE it, I know it!

R grew up pretty poor. When he was little and a teenager he always wanted a pair of overalls but his parents couldn't afford a pair. When we found out we were having a boy besides his excitement of a Baby Bjorn, he was also excited about buying his son his first pair of overalls. So this picture will be extra special.

His New Trick!

Our first set of goals with ECI are to get Walker rolling and to have him sit up by himself. He's getting better at both.

I'm sick today and had to ask my mom to come over and watch Walker. We practiced in bed. It looks like he's being supported by the pillow but it's there to make sure he doesn't roll off.

Walker's 1st Play Date

Walker hosted his very first play date with little friends from 7 months - 5 years old. Of course Yolanda started our day off by not coming at the appropriate time and ruining his morning nap. Thanks Yolanda! You're a true gem! Because of that, Walker slept almost the whole play date.

It's so much fun having friends with kids around the same age of your baby. The two older girls are a year apart and the younger kids are all within 6 months apart in age.

Walkie's hair is growing and his natural mohawk is barely noticeable now. He's rockin' the Snookie bump now!

Dietitian Appointment

Walker is 13 pounds 13 ounces! That means he has gained 11 ounces in a week and a half. They are impressed.

Changes are coming our way as far as TPN/Omegaven is considered. Can't wait to see!

 I LOVE Mud Pie clothing. I begged my sister for this outfit that my nephew never wore. LOVE it! I wish I could find more that he could wear. These type of outfits are too hot for outings.

That little sock monkey, remember him? Walker used to be the size of that monkey. How cool? I should've taken more pictures with him with it but tonight laying it next to him we were really amazed.

And Walker seems to like him!
