10 Months!

"I'm how old today?"

"You funny, Daddy!"
I am 10 months old. I weigh 17 pounds and 9 ounces. I have a cold. I drink four bottles a day. I eat two solids a day. I try to feed myself but my Mommy says I need more practice.  I am learning to sit by myself. I can roll from my tummy to my back. I wear 9 month clothes and 12 month pajamas.

New Favorite Toy

Walker is starting the independent stage where he likes to play by himself. He still is not too good with his hand and he gets angry that his body won't do what he wants it to. For Christmas he got the little cell phone, I think it is by PlaySkool, and he LOVES it! He hits his nose pretty hard some times but he doesn't cry or seem to mind. What does he like to do with the cell phone? Hold it in his hands, play a little jingle, put it in his mouth and then throw it! He can throw far too. He throws his pacifier all the way across the room from his bed at night.

I spy with my little eyes

Someone NOT sleeping

He scoots his way to the perfect position of getting right in the camera's view and just softly talks. It's cute but he's supposed to be sleeping! Silly kid!

Hey, hey, hey...Goodbye!

Walker's medical supplies for his broviac have been taking over our dining room table for months now. Ever since he came home to be exact. Tonight I finally got my butt in gear and took care of the matter.

Those three huge boxes are filled with medical supplies! Flushes, syringes, alcohol wipes, patches, etc. The folder is filled with "receipts" of when Nurse Yolanda came over and what she did and all that other medical junk. The three boxes are bio hazard boxes where we put the used syringes and needles and I have to mail those back to some place. The two boxes on the bottom are the TPN and Omegavan pump boxes that they need to come pick up.

Everything is ready to be returned or trashed. Finally! I don't know why I have held on to these things for so long, but farewell junk! R asked if I wanted to keep a flush "just in case". Just in case what, sweetie? No one is hooked up anymore! Silly guy!

Wordless Wednesday

I think he likes Kate Spade too!

Clearly Momma and Daddy aren't very enjoyable dinner dates. Little Bird decided sleeping was more entertaining.

Wittlebee

One of my Bump friends introduced us to Wittlebee boxes and we got our first one over the weekend. We loved it!

It's a monthly service that sends a box of name brand clothing. They are super cute! Wittlebee promises that the boxes are worth over $100 in merchandise and you only pay $39.99 a month. It you use this code: Wittlebee, you and I both get $10 off our boxes, making it $29.99 a box. Awesome! You can quit anytime you want. I am NOT a paid spokesperson, I swear.

Since this was our first time to try the service out, I decided to get 12 month clothes for Walker. We made our profile like this:
  • Styles needed: Short Sleeve, Long Sleeve, Pants
  • Graphics: Patterns/Plaids, Stripes
  • Favorite Colors: Grey, Blue, Red
  • Clothing Style: Casual, Preppy
  • Accessories Needed: No thanks
  • Styles not needed: Tank Tops
  • Climate: Chilly Nights
  • Child's Gender: Boy
And this was what we got:

We got American Apparel, Kicky Pants, Teddy Boom and Mis TeeV-Us. That striped shirt feels so good! And even though it says 12-18 months, Walker can fit into it now. He looks like such a big boy in it!

I don't like the blue jeans, they're just not my style. Wittlebee has 100% satisfaction guarantee. What that means is that since I don't like the jeans and they are WAY too big, they will send me an extra piece with my next box at no extra cost. The only thing they ask is you give that piece to charity, which we donate ALL the time. Great company!

Anyways, I felt that I needed to share because we've liked our experience and wanted to share. They make boxes for boys and girls and go up to size 5T.

Here's the code again for $10 off your first box!

CODE: Wittlebee

9 month check up

Walker is 9 months actual and 6 months adjusted. Dr. Anderson thinks he is doing fantastic and Walker gave him the biggest, sweetest smile! Dr. Anderson is a softy and giggled and laughed. How can you not?

The best news? Walker is on the charts! YAY! It can be a hard challenge for preemies to get on the charts for their actual age and even harder for micro preemies. We are SUPER happy!

Stats:
Weigh: 16 pounds 7 ounces- 2%
Height: 26 inches- 1%

We are so proud!

Edit:
Walker got the first half of the flu shot today. The nurse that came to administer the shot read his name as Emery Walker and thought he was a girl, so he got a pinkish, flower, Tweetie bird bandaid. He doesn't seem to mind! :)

Wordless Wednesdays has some words

Oh boy! Walker has a couple of teeth coming and I know teeth can't go back down but dangit! Those suckers are causing him some pain! Break through all the way, already! GEEZ!

So while we've been having fun with a cranky baby, I've neglected the blog.

For your viewing pleasure:
"My Mom brushed my hair down"

On our Preemie page we did a comparison photo. WOW! Look how much my Little Bird has grown!

"Who left the kid in charge?"

"I don't think she's got me"

"Yep, I'm slipping"

The bumpers have become necessary.

He's still trying really hard to roll over and has gotten so good at sitting up by himself for a longer period of time.

And the elephant has returned. Lots of snuggle time for this guy.
